Open Call: Gender & AI Innovation Collective 2025

Are you part of a women’s rights organisation in Africa exploring new ways to create impact using AI?
We’re inviting organisations like yours to join the Gender & AI Innovation Collective, a partnership between Code for Africa (CfA) and the A+ Alliance, to co-create AI tools that tackle real community challenges, from gender-based violence and healthcare access to education and economic empowerment.
💡 We will support you in designing AI tools that reflect your priorities and vision for gender justice.
The programme has three phases:
1️⃣ Concept phase: 3 months of unfunded training to refine your ideas (required for funding eligibility).
2️⃣ Prototype phase: Build your solution with CfA’s AI engineers and gender fellow.
3️⃣ Scale-up phase: Strengthen and test your working innovation with peer support.
