Africa, March 11, 2026 -- Bamvim, Ghana, marks a significant milestone in expanding digital education in Northern Ghana as Kamba Media Foundation, in partnership with Intel and the Ministry of Education, officially launched a state-of-the-art computer laboratory at Bamvim Presby School. The initiative seeks to provide students with enhanced access to digital tools and AI-enabled learning technologies while fostering regional digital literacy.
The commissioning ceremony brought together national and local leaders, including Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, Ghana Minister of Education; Ken Maison, President of Kamba Media Foundation; Vice President Amber Maison; Intel representative Sean Williams; the Paramount Chief of Bamvim; John Nkaw, Country Director of ActionAid Ghana; and Yakubu Abdul Karim, President of Baron Healing Hearts Foundation. Teachers, students, and community leaders were also present to witness the launch.

Kamba Tech, a Ghana-based technology solutions company, led the technical deployment, overseeing installation, configuration, and full implementation of the Information and Communications Technology laboratory. The facility features Intel-powered computers with AI-enabled educational tools capable of offline operation, ensuring students have continuous access to digital learning resources even in areas with inconsistent internet connectivity.

During the launch, Minister of Education Hon. Haruna Iddrisu commended the initiative, highlighting the government’s commitment to strengthening educational infrastructure and advancing digital literacy nationwide.
Ken Maison, President of Kamba Media Foundation, stated, "This project demonstrates the impact of collaboration among government, private sector technology leaders, and community partners. Together with the Ministry of Education, Intel, ActionAid Ghana, and Baron Healing Hearts Foundation, we are providing infrastructure that can significantly improve learning outcomes."
