Biography:

Ms. Deborah Asmah is a trailblazing expert in AI, digital governance, privacy, and compliance, whose contributions have significantly shaped Ghana's digital landscape. Her innovative approaches have enabled seamless access to digital tools, promoted financial inclusion, and driven digital transformation across multiple sectors. Deborah is the co-founder of Npontu Technologies Ltd, a technology company specializing in the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and software development to provide digital solutions and lead transformation initiatives. She holds a Master of Law from Queen Mary University of London. She is a licensed Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) with the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and a certified Data Protection Officer (DPO). She is an ardent advocate for Public Policy, with extensive research experience at the intersection of technology, AI, and compliance. Ms. Deborah Asmah is passionate about leveraging digital tools and platforms, particularly, AIdriven solutions to bridge social divides whilst promoting financially inclusive sustainable societies. Deborah Asmah believes that when AI and digital technologies are used responsibly, they can be powerful catalysts for social and economic progress. She is deeply committed to advancing women’s empowerment and championing global ESG objectives.
